Questions to consider
Gather/Organise

What do I know about this?
What do I know about google earth and voicethread?
I had never used Google earth and voice thread before we started this project but now I know how to use Google earth and voice thread very well and managed to do the project with out and difficulties.
Have I presented material about google earth and voice thread before?
No I have not
Do I understand what I have to do? Is there anything I don’t understand about this activity?
Yes I understand but did get a little stuck on using voice thread at first but now I find it very easy

What skills and knowledge will I be using?

We will be using skills on Google earth and voice thread because we need to do all these different tasks like uploading on voice thread and writing descriptions about them and then uploading on Google earth and getting the address from voice thread and etc! And we used knowledge by following the task sheet that tells us what to do.
Identify

What is th e task?
What do I want to accomplish in creating a google earth project? How do I want to interest others in hmy topic? Do I want to present an informative google earth project that can be used as a reference? Do I want to present a warning google earth project that alerts people to danger? Or some combination of those goals?
I wanted to make a very nice interesting Google earth project that keeps people alerted and isn’t boring and by doing that we used nice pictures of the places we chose so people stay interested in it.

What do I need in order to do this? What materials do I have? What resources do I need? Should I do more research on cybersafety?

I need skills and the manuel thing that takes us through the steps to do the project.
Who will be looking at this work? How can I appeal to other students?
I think that the teacher will be looking at this as well as all the other students and it can appeal to others by having interesting pictures so that they do not get boared!
Are there examples of google earth and voice thread google earth projects or materials that I can look at?
Yes on voice-thread some that students have made and some that miss beadle has made!
What are the obstacles? What problems may happen?
We may not be able to upload pictures and you might miss a step or your computer might crash so u need to back up your work and you might not do something correctly and you may not know how to do something
Can I draw a diagram that will help me to visualise my work? Draw some rough ideas for google earth projects.
Yes but we didn’t for our project?
Generate

How many ideas can I think of?
List as many ideas as possible.
Sky tower, huka falls, lake tarawera, opera house, Eiffel tower, Alaska, malan fashion shows, mt smart stadium, lake taupo, Egypt pyramids, famous sculptures, museums...
What aspects of google earth and voice thread interest me? What would I want to see on a google earth project?
I would want to see bold and bright colours that stand out and pretty pictures that look nice and things that are places and things that are interesting not boaring
Consider the advantages and disadvantages of each idea.
I think that they are all good things that you would want on a project because they are appealing to people that are viewing your work. But some people may not like the final thing that you have come up with so i guess that could be a big disadvantage.
Are there any other subjects to consider?
I don’t think so
What resources (books, websites, etc.) have I been provided with?
We have been provided with images from Google images or ones that we have taken our selves, a sheet that tells us what to do and how to do it, information from the internet (facts about your places) and miss beadle if we needed something
What do other people think about this? Do others think I have a good idea?
Yes they like the places we have chosen and the facts.
Decide

Which is the best idea?
Which are the best ideas? Prioritise the 3-5 best ideas.
The best ideas are the sky tower, Eiffel tower and the huka falls
Explain your reasons for choosing these. What are the arguments for and against each idea?
the reason for choosing these are they are very popular places that people like, for instance if a tourist came to Auckland they would probably want to see the sky tower because it has beautiful views and is very well known!
Which idea is the best one for completing the task? Which idea is best for accomplishing my goal?
To choose those places and more and then find pictures and facts about those places and then do the voice thread and google earth process.
What is my plan? What are the steps to follow?
The steps to follow are the steps on the sheet that miss beadle gave us on how to complete the project and then if you get stuck you can always ask miss Beadle.
How will I keep track of my progress? What are my milestones?
Making sure I am up to date on everything and are at the stage where I should be and keep referring back to the help sheet to make sure i haven’t missed a step or done something wrong. My goal is to have it complete by when we have to have it done by.
Possible list of steps:
· Research and gather material about my subject.
· Revise material and compose text for google earth project.
· Create graphics.
· Take pictures. Edit pictures.
· Assemble text and images into google earth project.
· Review google earth project and modify as needed.

Part Two – Implementing and Evaluating

Questions to consider
Implement

Let’s do it!
Am I making progress through the plan?
Yes I am up to date on where I should be.
Am I doing this correctly? You may need to review your goal for this activity.
Yes it is all working well. I have followed the steps so it has all worked out.
Do I need to revise my plan? As you continue, you may discover facts that require changing the plan.
Yes I think my plan may be a bit different from what i thought would happen so it would need a little changing.
Am I satisfied with the text/graphics/pictures that I have created?
Yes I like it a lot because there are pretty pictures and just enough facts that you don’t get bored!

Evaluate

How well did I do?
Did I complete the task as originally set out? Did I solve the problem?
Yes I completed it on time and handed it in.
Is the text as interesting or informative as intended?
Yes i think the text is fine! But it could have a bit more facts about my places.
Are the graphics and images appealing?
Yes I think they are and they look very nice and colourful! There is around 4 images for each place or thing and they are all appealing.
What have I done?
I have completed everything!
What have I done really well? Is there anything that stands out as particularly good?
The pictures i think are really nice and they look appealing and there is just enough facts so people don’t find my project boaring.

Is there anything that needs improvement? Should I go back and redo anything?

No I think that it is all fine and looks great.

Am I ready to communicate my ideas or show/display my work to others? Is the Google earth project ready to be shown to others?

Yes it could be shown to others because it is all complete and fine.
Communicate

Let’s tell someone!
(You may have answered some of these questions early on during the planning stages.)

Who can I tell? Who is my audience?

The class and the teacher anyone that wants to see.
What is the best way to present this to my audience?
Maybe talk them through it and play it on the big screen.
How do I interest other students in my particular subject?
Tell them amazing things about them and read the facts about it and let them see the nice pictures
Did I include the right text/graphics/images to inform and appeal to other students?
Yes I think so it all turned out right.
Learn from experience

What have I learned?
If I had to start this activity all over again, how would I improve my performance? Would I change my work habits? Would I use a different subject or different design? Would I only make small changes?
I think i would do it in different steps. Like do it in a different order!

How have I improved since that last time I worked on a similar task?

I am now up to date with all my work and have it right but in the last task I did I think that I handed it in late!
Have I learned anything about my subject or about appealing to others or about presenting information?
Yes your audience does not want a lot information on your work because it is boring but they want the point to get across
Can I use that elsewhere?
Yes on other projects I do
How has my thinking changed as a result of this work?
I have more knowledge on what I need to be doing and will take more time on all my work now so it looks good
What skills have I learned and developed?
I now know how to use google earth and voice thread and can do things like uploading pictures and getting the URL address and things like that.
Can these skills be applied to other subjects/activities?
No probably not in less I have to use google earth and voice thread
What problems did I have to solve? Were there obstacles in developing ideas, researching material, or presenting the material? How were they overcome?
I came across a problem in voice thread about uploading pictures and in Google earth when my work would not save

How did I use the strengths of others to help me?

I sometimes referred to others in my class to make sure i was doing it right and things.
